Dak Lak: Providing rice to support people affected by floods

Implementing the plan of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee on allocating rice from the national reserve, the Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health has received rice from the national reserve and provided rice to support people affected by floods.

To date, the units have provided 160 tons of rice to Tuy An Nam and Son Hoa communes. On November 23, they will continue to urgently hand over 380 tons of rice to Tuy An Tay, Tuy An Dong, Son Thanh, O Loan communes and Tuy Hoa ward. These are communes and wards heavily affected by flooding.

The Dak Lak Provincial Department of Health said that the unit has coordinated with the State Reserve Department of Region XII and the People's Committees of communes and wards to agree on the time and location for receiving and delivering the rice support; at the same time, instructing localities to receive and distribute it promptly and in accordance with regulations. The rice distribution will continue to be supplemented and adjusted to the actual situation of each locality. It is expected that by November 26, the distribution to localities will be completed. The allocation and distribution of rice this time demonstrates the humane policy of the Party and State with the spirit of "leaving no one behind", contributing to helping people in flood-affected areas in Dak Lak to soon overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.

To be proactive in receiving and promptly organizing the distribution of 2,000 tons of rice, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Health of Dak Lak province to urgently develop a detailed plan to distribute rice to affected people, ensuring the principles of timeliness, publicity, transparency and correct priority subjects. The People's Committees of communes and wards proactively directed specialized departments to closely coordinate with the Department of Health to organize rice reception and distribution points in the locality.

According to the plan, a total of 2,000 tons of rice will be provided to people in 24 communes and wards severely affected by floods. Communes will be provided with 50 - 100 tons of rice, with Dong Xuan, Hoa Thinh, Hoa My communes and Hoa Hiep ward each receiving 100 tons of rice.
