Due to the high and fast-flowing floodwaters for many days, the road leading to the center of Hoa My and Hoa Thinh communes was seriously damaged in some sections. The asphalt road surface was peeled off and collapsed, creating deep holes, making it difficult for vehicles to travel.

Mr. Phan Hoang Nam (Hoa My commune) said that on many roads in Hoa My and Hoa Thinh communes, floodwaters had washed away many sections, causing damage. Many sections of the road were blocked by trees, temporarily cut off. People gathered to clean up and make temporary repairs to allow traffic to pass. Afterwards, the local government also sent forces to dump rocks and soil, leveling them to make it safe for vehicles to travel.

Recorded in Tay Hoa commune on the afternoon of November 23, forces are still trying to restore a Ba River embankment that has been washed away by floodwaters for many days. Previously, many concrete sections of this embankment, about 100m long, were collapsed and washed away by the flood, causing severe damage. Some concrete sections of the embankment were also broken, creating extremely dangerous pits.

Locals said the floodwaters washed away this embankment, creating a stream that intruded into the land, damaging several nearby homes. Some crop areas were also damaged by the floodwaters.

Meanwhile, on National Highway 1 through Dong Hoa ward, hundreds of concrete blocks of the median strip were also swept away by floodwaters. The edges of the road in some sections were also damaged by floodwaters, creating "frog jaws" that are extremely dangerous for road users.

Mr. Le Duc Trung's house (Dong Hoa ward) is located next to National Highway 1. Floodwaters over the past few days have caused the curb in front of his house to collapse. The gate and fence in front of his house were also destroyed by the waves and severely damaged. Mr. Trung has reported to the local authorities for prompt repair.

Recorded on many inter-commune roads in the eastern communes and wards of Dak Lak province, after the flood receded, many sections were severely damaged. Currently, units have sent vehicles and materials for temporary repairs, ensuring traffic safety. After that, there will be a plan for long-term repairs and restoration, helping people and vehicles to move stably.
