Concentrate resources to overcome the consequences with the motto "where the water recedes, there we will overcome"

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Lak province has issued an urgent dispatch requesting departments, branches, sectors and localities to urgently concentrate all their efforts to overcome the consequences of the especially large floods in the province.

According to the content of the telegram, this is identified as a historic natural disaster, surpassing the flood peak of 1993, causing serious damage over a large area.

To carry out the work of overcoming the consequences, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: Identifying the work of overcoming the consequences as a particularly important and urgent campaign, departments, branches and localities mobilize all resources, temporarily stop unnecessary work to focus on overcoming the damage, with the motto "where the water recedes, there is recovery".

The Secretaries and Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and wards must concentrate and give the highest priority to the urgent task of providing relief to the people. The top priority task is to search and rescue the missing and ensure that no one is left hungry, cold, lacking clean water and medicine; to mobilize all resources and essential goods to the maximum, to make every effort to approach, provide relief and support to the people; to ensure safe temporary accommodation, to provide timely and adequate necessities to the people, with special attention to vulnerable groups.

Mobilize all forces and means to support people in overcoming consequences according to the "four on-the-spot" motto; organize visits, encourage and immediately implement the best support policies for affected families.

At the same time, to soon stabilize life and production, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and units to focus on overcoming damage as soon as possible.

In particular, the Department of Education and Training, Dak Lak Electricity Company, and Phu Yen Water Supply and Drainage Joint Stock Company will restore operations before November 25-26, 2025.

The leaders of departments and branches should closely follow the eastern area. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the heads of provincial departments and branches must arrange for leaders to work directly in the eastern area to direct the overcoming of consequences and resolve work at least until the end of the Lunar New Year 2026.

Besides, the Department of Health needs to immediately deploy disinfection and disease prevention work after the flood.

Provincial police ensure security, order, traffic safety and strictly handle acts of taking advantage of natural disasters for personal gain or spreading false information.
