Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visits and supports union members affected by floods

On the afternoon of November 24, a delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, Vice President of the VGCL, visited, shared and supported union members and workers of An Hung Joint Stock Company (Tuy Hoa Ward) who suffered heavy losses in the recent floods. Accompanying her was Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Huyen, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor.

The delegation visited the family of member Le Thi Loan, who unfortunately passed away due to childbirth during the flood.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan expressed his deep condolences and sent words of encouragement to Loan's relatives, hoping that the family would soon overcome the loss and take care of Loan's child. The delegation also supported the family with 10 million VND to take care of the deceased's funeral.

The delegation visited the family of Ms. Le Thi Loan.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan also visited and shared the difficulties with 2 union members whose houses were destroyed by floodwaters. He hoped that the union members would stabilize their spirits and soon overcome their difficulties to return to normal life.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan gave gifts to union members whose houses collapsed due to floods.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 32 gifts and warm clothes to workers of An Hung Joint Stock Company affected by floods. Each gift is worth 2 million VND.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan said: "This is an activity that demonstrates the spirit of "wherever workers are in difficulty, there is a trade union", aiming to promptly share and help union members overcome difficult times."
