Accordingly, the delegation visited people in the communes of Hoa Thinh, Son Hoa and Hoa My - localities that suffered heavy damage in the historic flood that occurred from November 18 to 22.

At the places visited, the delegation carried out many practical support activities: Presenting support funds to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Hoa Thinh, Son Hoa and Hoa My communes to support the general recovery work; visiting and providing financial support to Cung Son Primary School No. 1 (Son Hoa commune) and Hoa Dong Primary School (Hoa Thinh commune) to help the schools repair damaged facilities; encouraging and providing financial support to 5 families whose relatives died and 4 households whose houses were completely collapsed due to floods. The total support funds awarded this time were about 200 million VND. All of these funds were mobilized from the contributions of officers, soldiers, and defense workers in the unit, combined with the welfare fund of Brigade 470, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support for the locality and people in the flood-affected areas.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thien, Brigade Commander and Chairman of the Company, said : “The communes of Hoa Thinh, Son Hoa and Hoa My are the localities where the unit has been attached for many years to build traffic and hydroelectric works. The people here have always shown much love and care for the unit's soldiers during difficult times. This support is not only a responsibility but also a gratitude, to share part of the damage with the people so that they can soon stabilize their lives and overcome the difficult period.”
