On November 28, due to the impact of storm No. 15, coastal areas of Lam Dong province recorded large waves and rough seas. However, at coastal beaches, including Doi Duong - Thuong Chanh beach (Phan Thiet ward), many people still calmly went swimming, despite warnings of danger from authorities.
Recorded that same morning, high waves continuously crashed into the shore, the sea surface was covered in white waves. However, many people were still swimming and diving into the water to bathe.

Mr. Le TT (a resident of Phan Thiet ward) said: "Normally, big waves like this are fine, I've swum many times. Seeing that there are many people makes me feel secure." Some other people said that they are used to the stormy weather so they are not too worried.

Meanwhile, local authorities have repeatedly reminded and advised people not to go into the sea during times of high waves. A representative of the People's Committee of Phan Thiet Ward said: "The weather situation is complicated, high waves can create strong currents, and the risk of being swept away is very high. The authorities have sent forces to stand guard and warn, but some people are still subjective."
According to the meteorological agency, storm No. 15 will continue to cause strong winds and large waves in the Lam Dong sea area in the coming days. People are advised to limit contact with coastal areas, not to swim or play near the water's edge to avoid unfortunate accidents.
