Activities of the Grand Ceremony commemorating the 717th anniversary of the Nirvana of King Tran Nhan Tong include: The Commemoration Ceremony of King Tran Nhan Tong taking place on December 19 at Ngoa Van Pagoda; The 7th "Yen Tu - The Source of Wisdom" retreat taking place from December 19 to 21 at Yen Tu; The Flower Lantern Night commemorating King Tran Nhan Tong taking place on December 19 at Yen Tu; The Buddha - Ancestor worshiping ceremony - circumambulating Hue Quang tower taking place on December 19 at Yen Tu; The Grand Ceremony commemorating the 717th anniversary of King Tran Nhan Tong's Nirvana taking place on December 20 at Yen Tu.
In particular, the ceremony to receive the certificate recognizing the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes as a World Cultural Heritage will be held at 8:00 p.m. on December 20 at Minh Tam Square, Yen Tu Ward. The program will be broadcast live on VTV channel.
In addition, Yen Tu Festival "Heritage Journey, World Quintessence" is also held. The festival includes activities: Exhibition of achievements of the thousand-year heritage "Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac"; Trade Fair - OCOP and Food Festival; Exchange of art performances, folk games; Organizing Heritage Film Week; Quang Ninh Open Cycling Race 2025 "To the Heritage Land".
Through a series of events, not only did it contribute to expressing gratitude to the Buddha King, honoring historical and cultural values, spreading the image of the Certificate Reception Ceremony to a large number of people and tourists, but it also raised the common responsibility of the nation, community, government and people of the three provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh , Hai Phong in preserving and promoting the value of the World Cultural Heritage Complex of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac.
Through a series of events, programs and activities, it will create a cultural mark on the heritage map of Vietnam and the world, affirming the province's pioneering role in preserving and promoting heritage values associated with sustainable tourism development; at the same time, promoting the connection of the Truc Lam Yen Tu heritage area between Quang Ninh - Hai Phong - Bac Ninh, expanding the cultural and tourism space of the Northeast region.
