After the training and screening process in Ba Ria, the Korean strategist decided to remove the names of 5 players including: Tran Thanh Trung, Nguyen Duc Viet (Ninh Binh Club), Dinh Quang Kiet (Hoang Anh Gia Lai) and Bui Vi Hao (Becamex Ho Chi Minh City), Le Van Ha ( Hanoi Club).
Among these, the most regrettable face is probably striker Bui Vi Hao - who has just returned from injury. Meanwhile, overseas Vietnamese player Tran Thanh Trung has not had the opportunity to officially play for the Vietnam national team. HAGL's central defender Dinh Quang Kiet, although possessing an outstanding height of 1m95, in his position, it is clear that the player born in 2005 cannot compete with other experienced faces.
Accordingly, these are all players who have worked hard in training, however the coaching staff is forced to make the optimal choice to ensure team balance and suit the tactical requirements at SEA Games 33.
Previously, in the afternoon training session on November 29, the U22 Vietnam team had another training session in Ba Ria to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. Coach Kim Sang Sik let the players take the field at 4:00 p.m. instead of 4:30 p.m. - the exact time the team played in the group stage of the 33rd SEA Games. In addition, this training session was not open to the media to ensure confidentiality.

According to the plan, tomorrow morning (December 1), coach Kim Sang Sik and his team will leave for Thailand to participate in the tournament. According to the latest schedule, the team will play their debut match against U22 Laos on December 3, then rest for a week before playing U22 Malaysia on December 11.
With a carefully selected force, a young but internationally experienced squad and a long-term preparation process throughout 2024-2025, U22 Vietnam aims to compete with determination, gradually conquering the highest goal at SEA Games 33.
