Thanh Thuy and Bich Thuy shine before returning home to attend the SEA Games

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and Tran Thi Bich Thuy shined together at the 2025/26 Japan National Volleyball Championship, before returning home to attend the 33rd SEA Games.

Meeting Toray Arrows again in the 8th round of the Japan Volleyball National Championship, Gunma Green Wings played with great spirit. The team in blue dominated their opponents, leading by 2 sets.

At the beginning of set 3, main hitter Tran Thi Thanh Thuy was withdrawn to rest, which caused Gunma Green Wings to not maintain their strength, creating an opportunity for Toray Arrows to shorten the score to 1-2.

Thanh Thuy has impressive form.

Entering set 4, Thanh Thuy returned to the field and immediately helped her team regain control of the game, before winning this set, eventually winning 3-1 (25/16, 25/22, 28/30, 25/19). This is the 10th victory of Gunma Green Wings in this year's tournament.

In another notable match, Bich Thuy's team Okayama had an important 3-1 victory (25/22, 16/25, 25/22, 25/18) against Denso. Bich Thuy personally had an impressive day, scoring many decisive points to help Okayama win.

Both Thanh Thuy and Bich Thuy had a brilliant round in Japan. Thanh Thuy scored 17 points, while Bich Thuy, despite being a middle blocker, contributed 12 points. It is expected that in early December, these two hitters will return to the country to join the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games campaign in Thailand.
