Yesterday (November 29), Bich Thuy played for the first time for Okayama Seagulls. They faced a strong opponent, Denso Airybees, at the Japan Women's Volleyball Championship (SV-League).
Bich Thuy had difficulty coordinating well with her teammates. However, she still got 5 points and successfully blocked the ball many times. But on a day when the whole team was not in good form, Okayama Seagulls had to accept a quick 0-3 defeat.
On the afternoon of November 30, the two teams will play each other again. Bich Thuy's team continues to be underestimated, ranking 13th out of 14 teams in the SV-League.
But this time, Okayama Seagulls seemed to have completely transformed. Coach Akiyoshi Kawamoto made important tactical adjustments, while Bich Thuy's position was still guaranteed, as she was the starting middle blocker in all four sets.
This time, the Vietnamese players seemed to have a better rhythm. The attacks at position 3 became much more dangerous, as the Okayama Seagulls setters got used to Bich Thuy's jump.
The remaining positions also played well, and then they created a surprise with an overwhelming 3-1 victory (25-22, 16-25, 25-22, 25-18) against Denso Airybees.
This result helped Okayama Seagulls successfully avenge their loss the day before.
Bich Thuy also achieved more impressive results. In this match, she scored 12 points, including 10 attack points. The remaining points were 1 block point and 1 ace point.
After this match, Bich Thuy will temporarily say goodbye to Okayama Seagulls to return home to join the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
