The vitality of Thanh Hoa Football Tournament in Ho Chi Minh City

After two seasons with the name Thanh Hoa East Asia Cup, the 2025 Southern Thanh Hoa Football Championship has been renamed Hoang Nong Cup and is still awaited by Thanh people far from home.

On the afternoon of November 30, the launching ceremony and draw for the Southern Thanh Hoa Football Championship, Hoang Nong Cup, season 12-2025 (THF-12) took place in Ho Chi Minh City.

Starting in 2011, the tournament brings together teams from districts, towns and cities under Thanh Hoa province. This is a practical and useful playground, connecting the hometown of Thanh Hoa people living far away from home in Ho Chi Minh City.

More specifically, through the tournament, the organizers hope to introduce the culture and image of Thanh people to friends at home and abroad.

This year's tournament takes place from December 7, 2025 to January 11, 2026 at PM Sport Stadium (104 Tan Son, Tan Binh) with the participation of 16 teams and divided into 4 groups.

Group A includes Trieu Son, Nghi Son, Ba Thuoc, and Nhu Xuan.

Group B includes Nong Cong, Thieu Hoa, Yen Dinh, Quang Xuong.

Group C includes Thanh Hoa city, Sam Son, Tho Xuan, Cam Thuy.

Group D includes defending champion Hau Loc, Ha Trung, Nga Son, and Nhu Thanh.

Speaking at the drawing ceremony, Head of the tournament organizing committee - Mr. Nguyen Van Trung shared: "We determined to develop grassroots football in our homeland, that is the responsibility and pride of Thanh people far from home, living and working in the Southern region.

"Football is sharing - football is spreading the most positive things to the community. The Central region is suffering heavy damage from storms and floods, many members of the Organizing Committee are also joining hands to share the difficulties with the people.

For the THF-12 tournament, we will have practical plans to support and share directly with people in the flood-affected areas of the Central region."
