They not only brought medicine and medical equipment, but also shared, took responsibility and showed their heart towards the people in the flood areas.
From 5am, the white blouses of the Dong Nai Provincial Medical Team were visible in the hall of Son Thanh Commune. They took advantage of every minute to prepare the examination table, check each medicine box, each gift to welcome the people in the best conditions. For the people of Son Thanh commune, especially the elderly and children, who have experienced days of rising floods, isolation and deprivation in every way, they come to the medical examination not only to receive medicine but also to find peace of mind after a series of tiring days.
Holding her baby, just over 1 year old, Ms. Le Thi Thao said that until now she is still shocked by the fierce flood. "For the past few days, the flood water has been coming back, the weather is cold, my child has been coughing continuously but I have not had the opportunity to go to the doctor. Upon receiving the notice from the commune, I immediately took my child to the doctor. The doctors examined him very carefully, and at the same time gave very detailed instructions on how to keep the baby healthy in the current environmental and weather conditions."
In just one morning, nearly 2,000 people were examined and given medicine. Outside the hall, medical staff continued to spread out to neighboring communes to spray disinfectant and clean the environment - an urgent task after the flood. Although they set out to support Dak Lak province in a short time and on a long journey, the Dong Nai Department of Health and doctors had prepared quite carefully in terms of basic medical examination equipment and necessary medicines.

| Doctors from Au Co Hospital examine people in flood-affected areas of Dak Lak province. |
Traveling hundreds of kilometers, doctors and nurses from Au Co Hospital (Dong Nai province) urgently headed to the eastern part of Dak Lak province - where people are struggling to overcome the consequences of the flood. Everyone was determined to arrive as early as possible so that people would not have to wait another day in need.
The road leading to Tay Hoa commune and Dong Hoa ward made the whole group silent. The electricity grid had not been restored, water was scarce, the ground had collapsed in long streaks, many houses were still stained with traces of water. In the midst of the precarious scene after the natural disaster, the presence of the medical team seemed to add warmth to the people in the flood-hit area.
At 4am, when the sky was still dark, the group arrived at Tay Hoa Commune People's Committee. After a quick breakfast at the gathering point, everyone quickly got to work, opening the clinic to serve the people.
The most touching moment for the group was when the morning examination session in Tay Hoa commune had just ended, while they were cleaning up to have a quick lunch and continue working in Dong Hoa ward, suddenly another group of people came, hearing that doctors from Au Co Hospital were providing free examinations. Without anyone telling them, everyone opened the table, unloaded the medicine, and set up a makeshift examination station right in front of the commune People's Committee yard.
In just one day, more than 700 households were examined and provided health consultation. More than 900 support packages including medicines, essential medicine bags, and necessities were delivered to each household.
Five working groups of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health also traveled hundreds of kilometers to reach people in the flood-hit areas.
Dong Hoa Ward Health Station only has a few temporary tables and chairs, many functional rooms are still soaked with water, the walls are stained with white mud. However, in just a moment, the place is bustling with footsteps, patients calling each other, and doctors gently asking questions.
Doctors and nurses are divided into specialized examination areas for easy access by people. In addition to health check-ups, medicine distribution, and gifts for people, doctors also instruct each household on how to prevent infectious diseases after floods such as washing hands with clean water, disinfecting water sources, boiling food, and avoiding letting children play in stagnant water.
In addition to medical examination and treatment, doctors and nurses from Ho Chi Minh City also support local health stations in restoring case classification, drug inventory, checking on-call cabinets, providing guidance on handling serious cases, and coordinating referrals when necessary.
Just like that, 5 working groups infiltrated all communes and wards such as Dong Hoa, Dong Xuan, Hoa Thinh, Hoa Xuan and O Loan. Urgent and dedicated, the white blouses left a beautiful impression with their dedication, sharing spirit and deep affection for their fellow countrymen.

Walking among the dilapidated roofs, the eyes still filled with anxiety after the storm and flood, the doctors and nurses only wished they could do more. The conditions were poor, the weather was harsh, the meals were just cold canned food, the sleep was temporary in the car… but no one complained. The dedication of the commune officials and the local medical team made the work smoother, full of love.
