On November 28, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a press conference to inform about activities to support schools in Khanh Hoa province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

At the press conference, comrade Trinh Thi Hien Tran, Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council, informed that in the coming period, Ho Chi Minh City units plan to support the repair, renovation, and upgrading of 33 schools in Khanh Hoa province (total cost of more than 27.7 billion VND). Up to now, there have been units receiving support for 15 schools (total cost of nearly 10 billion VND). The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has transferred 3 billion VND from donations and mobilization among students and teachers of the city to the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province.
In addition, the City Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council launched the program "Pink Smile - Going to School with You" among city students to focus on mobilizing support for school supplies, white shirts and funds to repair schools.

The City Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Young Pioneers Council received support materials from the Red Scarf Publication Block (Tuoi Tre Newspaper), Ho Chi Minh City Children's House, Binh Duong Children's House, and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Youth Center. After 2 days of launching, the estimated amount of goods received was more than 4 billion VND.

Currently, the City Youth Union has connected students from 46 schools in Ho Chi Minh City to support students from 46 schools in Khanh Hoa province in a 1-1 manner (1 Primary School, Middle School or High School Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City supports 1 kindergarten, Primary School, Middle School, High School in Khanh Hoa province).
A team of more than 40 students from technical schools in Ho Chi Minh City will join in supporting people in repairing, maintaining, and fixing motorbikes damaged by flooding, starting from the afternoon of November 28. The team is expected to be deployed for 5 days, with the main tasks including repairing and checking motorbikes for free for people... It is expected that on December 1, 30 young volunteers will continue to move to Khanh Hoa province, adding to the team of motorbike repairers.

Also at the press conference, comrade Ngo Minh Hai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, informed about the activities of Ho Chi Minh City youth to support people of Khanh Hoa province from November 24 to November 28.
Comrade Ngo Minh Hai emphasized that, promoting the tradition of solidarity, the political system and all classes of people of Ho Chi Minh City join hands to support Khanh Hoa province with practical and timely actions. Thereby, hoping to contribute to supporting people to soon stabilize their lives, and students to return to school in better conditions.
