On the morning of November 28, at Sac Tu Khai Doan Pagoda, one of the locations where a series of voluntary blood donation activities took place, many monks, nuns, and Buddhists were present to donate drops of blood.
Previously, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province issued a notice, calling on monks, nuns, and Buddhists, in the spirit of compassion and relief of suffering of Buddhism, to actively participate in humanitarian blood donation, spreading noble actions, and saving people in critical situations.

Traveling more than 20km from Phuoc Binh Pagoda (Krong Pac commune) to donate blood, nun Nguyen Thuan shared: "Hearing the call, we are ready to respond because at this time, the love of our fellow countrymen needs to be shown through the most concrete and practical actions.
When hospitals are short of blood, every drop of blood donated is extremely meaningful, giving patients a chance to live. Not only monks and nuns, but also many Buddhists actively responded, with the simple thought that this is the responsibility and duty of Buddhists in accompanying the community to help patients overcome critical situations.
With the message “Every drop of blood donated - a hope extended”, at Tay Nguyen University, more than 500 staff, teachers and students of the school participated in this meaningful series of activities, including many volunteers who have donated blood many times.
The enthusiasm, spirit of volunteerism and responsibility to the community of students and teachers have made an important contribution, collecting 360 units of blood, supplementing the depleted reserves of the health sector.
It is known that the series of voluntary blood donation activities on this occasion is outside the plan of the Provincial Voluntary Blood Donation Steering Committee, to urgently respond to the shortage of blood banks.
Blood donation time starts from November 25 to 30; taking place at the following locations: Vietnam-US Driver Training and Testing Center, Tay Nguyen University, Dak Lak Pedagogical College, Vietnam Industry and Trade College, Khai Doan Pagoda, Education Trade Union, Buon Ma Thuot Secondary School.

Previously, the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center received a dispatch from Phu Yen General Hospital regarding support for blood distribution.
According to Deputy Director of Phu Yen General Hospital Bui Anh Hoa, after the flood, Phu Yen General Hospital was under great pressure when the number of patients increased suddenly, many pregnant women and seriously ill patients were transferred from Dak Lak Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital (because this facility was flooded and had no power).
Therefore, the need for blood for emergency and treatment increased, exceeding the blood reserve. Therefore, Phu Yen General Hospital requested the Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center for support.
