At 12 noon, Andrew (nickname Andy, German nationality) brought his luggage, checked out before leaving Quang Ninh, and traveled to Hanoi to catch a flight home.
After completing the procedures, Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Hai (owner of Halong Land hotel, Tuan Chau ward, Quang Ninh province) said goodbye to the male tourist from Europe.
Suddenly, Andrew took out a stack of 10 million VND from his pocket, along with a handwritten letter.

"The man wanted me to buy goods to send to people in flood-hit areas. I was surprised and touched, I didn't think he knew about the news that the central provinces of Vietnam suffered heavy damage due to natural disasters," Ms. Thanh Hai shared with Dan Tri reporter .
According to the letter, the male tourist said he had seen many pictures and videos on social networks about floods in Vietnam and wanted to help people.
Before returning home, he decided to send the money back to the hotel owner to help people in the flood-hit areas with the message: "I believe you can do this, so I'm sending some money to help people. I love Vietnam - the people are friendly and kind, the country is wonderful and the food is delicious. I hope this will help in some way. Sending best wishes."
According to Ms. Thanh Hai, when she received the money from Mr. Andrew, she offered to buy rice to help flood victims. The German man nodded in agreement.
After the guest left, the couple immediately contacted the rice dealer and bought 83 bags (each bag weighs 10kg), total weight is 830kg.
Receiving the gift from him, Ms. Thanh Hai shared the meaningful story on social networks and unexpectedly received many interactions.
Comments were moved by the foreign guest's act of kindness towards the Vietnamese people in difficult circumstances.
"I feel happy because I helped the guest fulfill his wish before leaving Vietnam. All the rice has been handed over to the receiving team to be delivered to the flood victims soon," said the hotel owner.
According to Ms. Thanh Hai, the male tourist stayed at the hotel for 1 day last year. On his return to Quang Ninh for work, the German architect stayed for 3 days and 2 nights.
Through the process of contact, the woman found him to be very sociable, cheerful and caring towards everyone.
"I did not tell Andrew about the floods affecting the lives of people in many provinces in the Central region. His donation is very meaningful and appreciated," she said.
It is known that Thanh Hai's family also sent donations through the receiving agency's account, and also sent 5 bags of rice to help people in flood-affected areas.
Talking to Dan Tri reporter , Ms. Xuan Dao (Representative of the group receiving goods to support people in flood-affected areas) said that this was the first time the group received a donation from a foreigner.

"We received 830kg of rice donated by foreign tourists through Ms. Thanh Hai - a hotel owner in Quang Ninh," she said.
It is known that Ms. Dao's group received a total of 100 tons of rice, many goods such as instant noodles, milk... from kind-hearted people.
In addition to sorting goods to send to people in the Central region, Ms. Dao is also the owner of a rice distribution agency. Sympathizing with the plight of people who have just suffered from natural disasters, she sells goods at cost price without taking profit when there are people who need to buy to support.
