Accordingly, Ninh Kieu walking street will reopen on November 29 at the stage of Hai Ba Trung street. Activities are expected to take place every Saturday and Sunday, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
The street is about 750m long, organized on Hai Ba Trung Street (from Ngo Gia Tu - Phan Chu Trinh) and surrounding streets.
With content segments: Art program stage, comprehensive song and dance stage, fashion show, child models and dance sport programs... folk game area, prize games, chess competitions (chess, Chinese chess).
Also according to the People's Committee of Ninh Kieu Ward, Ninh Kieu walking street is reorganized to form a number of unique night cultural activities, becoming an indispensable destination for Can Tho residents and tourists.
A safe, airy, and unique walking space will create conditions for organizing a variety of cultural and artistic activities, from traditional to modern; at the same time, improving the quality of spiritual life for the people.
Activities contribute to increasing tourism attraction, extending length of stay, stimulating tourism spending and promoting the night-time economy .
This is an important foundation for Ninh Kieu wharf to become a cultural and tourist symbol of Can Tho city, while opening up new trade opportunities, supporting the development of trade and services and creating conditions for people to participate more deeply in modern urban economic activities.
