Engineer Brigade 7 helps people stabilize their homes after floods

(GLO)- On November 28, the 7th Engineer Brigade (34th Corps) presented gifts and supported Ms. Vo Thi Truoc (residing in Plơi Rngôl village) to move to a new residence in Ma Rin 3 village, Ia Pa commune. This is one of the households in particularly difficult circumstances, suffering heavy losses in the recent floods.

The floodwaters swept away the house and damaged all of the property, making life difficult for Mrs. Truoc's family. To help Mrs. Truoc's family stabilize their lives soon, the 7th Engineer Brigade coordinated with the Ia Pa commune government to mobilize 60 working days to renovate an old classroom in Ma Rin 3 village into a temporary residence.

Officers and soldiers of the 7th Engineer Brigade reinforced the foundation, replaced the roof, cleaned and installed essential items, ensuring safe and clean accommodation. In addition, officers and soldiers in the unit also contributed 3 million VND to buy necessities to support Ms. Truoc's family.

In parallel with supporting Mrs. Truoc’s family, from November 20 to 28, 150 officers and soldiers of the 7th Engineer Brigade participated in overcoming the consequences of floods in Ia Pa and Ia Tul communes. Activities included cleaning the environment, spraying disinfectants, dredging mud, digging drainage ditches, repairing roads and houses for people.

These practical actions continue to affirm the spirit of "Forgetting oneself for the people" of the officers and soldiers of Engineering Brigade 7 during the days of flood.
