On November 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism sent a dispatch to relevant departments, branches and units regarding the adjustment of the time of the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival to 2026. The decision to adjust the time was made after the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee reviewed the actual conditions to ensure the most effective preparation and operation.
Previously, the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City River Festival made a special mark, making the festival one of the few events in Vietnam to achieve double international achievements.
Previously, the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival was announced to take place from November 29 to December 31, 2025, lasting more than a month with a series of unique cultural and tourism activities along the Saigon River, canals and ports. The highlight is expected to be the "Signature Show - Bridge Through Space", a live show combining music , dance, circus and modern performance technology.
The festival also has a space "on the wharf and under the boat", street carnival, light art, boat racing, culinary festival and a series of events to stimulate waterway tourism, aiming to promote the image of a river city, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with neighboring localities.
The postponement and adjustment to 2026 is considered necessary to ensure progress in preparing infrastructure, human resources, connecting community activities and accompanying experience programs.
