
The event was chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the provinces and cities of Hanoi, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Son La and Thanh Hoa, with the participation of artisans and mass actors of the Muong ethnic group.
In his opening speech, Director of the Department of Culture of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups Trinh Ngoc Chung said that the 2nd Muong Ethnic Culture Festival is a highlight program with a series of rich activities of the Week 'Great Unity of Ethnic Groups - Vietnamese Cultural Heritage'.
The festival is an opportunity for Muong ethnic people to gather in a common home, to honor and spread the cultural values of the Muong ethnic group, and at the same time contribute to the overall picture of the work of preserving and promoting the cultural values of Vietnamese ethnic groups, contributing to the development of the local socio -economy.

Within the framework of the Festival, many rich and unique activities took place such as: Displaying and introducing Muong cultural space, performing traditional handicrafts, performing arts festivals, performing costumes, introducing festival excerpts - cultural rituals and especially a unique cultural and artistic performance program at Hoan Kiem Lake stage, the center of the thousand-year-old capital.

The festival not only honors the traditional values in the diverse culture of 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, but is also an opportunity to widely promote to businesses and domestic and foreign tourists the potential for cultural, sports, tourism development and the unique heritage values of the Muong ethnic group. This activity contributes to attracting investment resources, promoting, promoting, and linking regions, thereby accelerating the process of forming key tourist areas and destinations in localities with a large population of Muong people.
