Accordingly, after a landslide with a volume of nearly 400 m3 of rock and soil falling onto National Highway 24, Kon Tum Construction and Traffic Works Management Joint Stock Company dispatched 2 excavators and 6 trucks to handle the rock and soil from two directions. By noon on November 23, the route was temporarily cleared, and vehicles were able to pass under the guidance of the authorities.
However, Km 112 + 200 is a dangerous landslide location, with a volume of about 100,000 m3 of rock and soil from the top of the hill that can slide down to the road surface, risking further cutting off the vital route connecting the East and West of Quang Ngai province. Therefore, the authorities have issued a warning to people and vehicles to limit their travel on National Highway 24.
Previously, as reported by VNA, due to the impact of prolonged rain, on the morning of November 23, the location Km 112 + 200 on National Highway 24, the section passing through Mang Den commune, Quang Ngai province, suffered a serious landslide, with hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rock spilling onto the road surface.
