Since early morning, people have brought bundles of banana leaves, sticky rice, green beans, etc. Some contributed labor, some contributed money, everyone hoped that the banh chung and banh tet would reach the flood victims in time.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Nghi (67 years old, Cam Thanh ward) shared: "Through the media, I saw people in Gia Lai and Dak Lak had to climb on the roof to call for help because the water was flooded everywhere, I felt so sorry. I wrapped a cake and sent it to them at this time, hoping that people would feel warm and overcome the difficulties."

Mrs. Pham Thi Tuoi (80 years old) is still nimble and agile in folding leaves and wrapping each banh tet. She said: “As long as I am healthy, I will continue to work. I wrap the cakes to share with my fellow countrymen in difficult times.”
Not only the elderly, many young people also took the time to help. Ms. Tran Thi Thuy, Cam Thanh ward, said: "Although I am busy with work, I feel the need to contribute a little effort. Each cake brought is a word of encouragement, hoping that the people in the flood area will have less hardship."

With more than 100kg of sticky rice and 50kg of mung beans, people wrapped more than 1,000 banh chung and banh tet. When the pots of banh chung were lit, everyone felt the warmth of sharing spreading amidst the days of floods that are causing many losses in the South Central region.

The simple but meaningful banh chung and banh tet cakes of Quang Ngai people will be sent to Gia Lai and Dak Lak tomorrow, November 22.
