Prolonged heavy rains have caused many areas in Dak Lak to continue to be submerged in water, and hundreds of households have been isolated for many days. In response to the emergency, Military Region 5, Ministry of National Defense has dispatched forces and armored vehicles to cross the raging waters, bringing necessities to people in flooded areas.

The storm and flood situation in the old Phu Yen (Dak Lak) continues to be complicated. At noon on November 21, prolonged heavy rain caused many areas in the communes of Tay Hoa, Dong Hoa, Tuy An Bac, Dong Xuan, Xuan Loc and Binh Kien ward (Dak Lak province) to continue to be submerged in water , isolated for many days. In the face of the emergency, Military Region 5 mobilized forces and 3 armored vehicles to overcome the strong currents, bringing more than 3,000 necessities to people in flooded areas.

The working group was directly commanded by Colonel Cao Van Muoi, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5. The supplies included instant noodles, dry food, drinking water and other essential goods, of which Military Region 5 provided 3 tons of dry food, which were transported in coordination with the Dak Lak Provincial Civil Defense Command.

Receiving relief gifts from Military Region 5, many people were moved. Mr. Nguyen Han (84 years old, Binh Kien ward, Dak Lak) tearfully said: "Having soldiers is the most precious thing! All our houses were submerged, luckily the soldiers came to rescue us, otherwise we wouldn't know what to do!"

In Gia Lai , on November 21, the 7th Engineer Brigade (34th Corps) sent 150 officers, soldiers and mobile vehicles to Ia Pa and Ia Tul communes to support people in cleaning up mud, garbage and cleaning the environment after the flood.

In the two communes of Ia Pa and Ia Tul (Gia Lai), many areas were flooded due to heavy rains, affecting people's lives. The army coordinated with local forces to clean up roads, schools and deeply flooded residential areas, helping the locality to quickly stabilize daily life and students to return to school. Many of the people's belongings that had been moved and brought to higher ground were also supported by the army to be brought home.

Officers and soldiers of the 7th Engineer Brigade cleared mud, rearranged tables and chairs, and sprayed disinfectant at 3 schools and 16 houses; dug 450 meters of ditches, cleared 12 drainage culverts, cleaned 1,230 meters of roads, and cut 15 trees that had fallen due to floods in Ia Pa and Ia Tul communes (Gia Lai).
