During two days, November 21-22, in Phu Loi Ward (Can Tho City), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030. Attending and directing the congress were Mr. Luong Quoc Doan, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Association Central Committee, and 350 official delegates representing all walks of life, ethnic groups, and religions in Can Tho City.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, emphasized that the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Can Tho City, term 2025 - 2030, was held in the context of the entire political system synchronously implementing the policies, resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee and the city on the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus and the 2-level local government model. This is an important milestone, marking the consolidation and consolidation of socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State to be under the Vietnam Fatherland Front, creating a premise to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Can Tho City in the new period.

During the past term, promoting the tradition of national solidarity, the Fatherland Front system at all levels of Can Tho City always promoted the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, innovation, and enhanced social consensus, achieving many important results. Through the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", 11,462 houses were built and repaired with a total amount of nearly 600 billion VND.

In particular, the campaign "Eliminate temporary houses - dilapidated houses" with nearly 11,500 houses has been completed, mobilizing the "For the Poor" Fund of more than 132 billion VND to take care of social security for disadvantaged households. The activities to support people affected by storms No. 3 and No. 10 with a total amount of over 85 billion VND are proof of the spirit of mutual love, solidarity and solidarity.

The Congress consulted and elected the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term 2025 - 2030, consisting of 116 members. Ms. Ho Thi Cam Dao, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term 2025 - 2030.
