On the occasion of attending the G20 Summit in South Africa, on November 22, 2025, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan.
At the meeting, the two sides expressed their delight at the positive development of Vietnam-UAE relations, especially one year after the two countries established a Comprehensive Partnership and signed the Vietnam-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) within the framework of the Prime Minister's official visit to the UAE in October 2024.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed the regards and invitations from General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and senior leaders of Vietnam to the King and senior leaders of the UAE to soon visit Vietnam to develop bilateral relations to a new height; recalled the deep impression of his visit to the UAE in 2024, affirming that Vietnam always attaches importance to strengthening cooperative relations with the UAE, one of the world's leading economic and financial centers.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the two sides need to actively coordinate to organize the UAE - Vietnam Investment Conference in Vietnam scheduled for April 2026, and expand cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, defense, food security, and Halal industry.
The Prime Minister also asked the UAE to boost investment and support Vietnam in building international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, and to promote the early launch of negotiations for the Vietnam-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) FTA.

Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan affirmed that the UAE always attaches importance to developing comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam, one of the UAE's important trade and investment partners in Southeast Asia.
The Crown Prince highly agreed with the Prime Minister's proposals on enhancing cooperation in economics, trade, investment, finance, science and technology, defense and tourism, in line with the framework of the Comprehensive Partnership and the CEPA Agreement; said he would send UAE delegations in the fields of investment, financial cooperation... to visit Vietnam soon to promote specific projects.
Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed Al Nahyan said that the two countries still have a lot of potential in sports cooperation, especially in supporting the development of youth football.
On this occasion, the two sides also agreed to strengthen coordination and mutual support at multilateral and international forums, including the reconstruction process of the Gaza Strip in accordance with international law.
