Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Bui Thi Van Anh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Van Lang University, said: "From its starting point as an application-oriented university, today Van Lang has achieved many achievements reflected in its imprints: currently ranked 251st in Asia, in the group of 1,001-1,200 leading universities in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2026, with an academic reputation ranked 392nd globally. In particular, the university's performing arts industry is in the top 51-100 in the world, and the fine arts & design industry is in the top 101-150 globally."

According to information from Ms. Van Anh, from 1995 to now, Van Lang University has been training more than 156,000 students, trainees and alumni. Currently, the training scale of the school is more than 52,000 students studying in more than 100 domestic training programs and 30 international joint programs in the fields of technology - engineering, economics - society, communication, architecture, health...
According to Thanh Nien Newspaper statistics, Van Lang University currently has the largest university training scale in the country.
In addition, in the past 5 years, Van Lang University has attracted nearly 6,000 international students from 30 countries to exchange and study, and more than 1,200 students have gone abroad for exchange and internship. The school has also cooperated with more than 300 international partners to facilitate academic exchange and student transfer.
At the ceremony, Van Lang University expressed its deep gratitude to the staff, lecturers, employees and generations of students and alumni who have joined hands to build and develop the school over the past three decades.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Pham Ngoc Thuong shared: "30 years ago, Van Lang University was one of the first non-public universities in the country. Starting with numerous difficulties in terms of resources and operating model, the school has constantly innovated and gradually affirmed its reputation in the university education system. From a modest foundation, the school has now grown strongly with many outstanding achievements."

From there, Mr. Thuong emphasized 3 lessons to develop a private university: First, the Party and State's policy of socializing education is completely correct. In particular, the dedication, perseverance and persistence of investors are the key factors.
The second is the work of building a team of cadres, lecturers, staff and developing training programs. In addition, there is the direction and support of local leaders, the coordination and facilitation of departments/sectors/sectors, universities, partners, especially the trust of parents and students at home and abroad.
Mr. Thuong said that in order to continue promoting the achievements, Van Lang University needs to urgently develop programs, projects, and plans to implement the Party's resolutions on education and training, innovation, and science and technology.
Along with that, we attach importance to the work of discovering, planning, training, and improving the quality of the team of managers, lecturers, and scientists. These are the factors that determine the training quality of the school.
