In the midst of the vast sea of ​​water, the oasis of Phuoc Giang village, Hoa Tam commune, Dak Lak province struggled to cope with the rain and floods. In the face of the emergency, on the evening of November 21, Military Region 5 and the Provincial Military Command established a forward command unit. The forward command unit's command board included comrades: Colonel Do Xuan Hung, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5; Colonel Dinh Van Hung, Political Commissar of Dak Lak Provincial Military Command, unanimously determined to mobilize the maximum number of officers and soldiers from units of the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard, militia and forces of Brigade 572, and Military Region 5 to reinforce Dak Lak, along with rescue vehicles to quickly clear the way.

Faced with a dangerous situation, at 6 a.m. on November 22, the motorboat of Brigade 572 crossed the rushing floodwaters and reached Phuoc Giang village. The people were overwhelmed, clearly feeling that they were not alone when the disaster struck. Closely connected to the locality, 72-year-old Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lanh was still shocked because she had never witnessed such a fierce flood that threatened people's lives. Since 1993, this has been a historic flood, submerging and sweeping away the property of Phuoc Giang people.
