According to the report of the General Staff of Military Region 5, in the afternoon and evening of November 22, there was still light rain in Dak Lak province. Although the water level on the rivers was receding, the wards of Binh Kien, Tuy Hoa, Hoa Xuan, Hoa Thinh, Hoa My, and Tay Hoa communes were still flooded. From November 19 to now, Military Region 5 has mobilized nearly 7,500 officers and soldiers along with 144 vehicles to participate in rescue, help people cope with floods in the area. The Military Region's armed forces have organized the evacuation of 132 households/1,183 people, cleaned up 17 schools, 4 medical stations, cleared 36km of roads, helped hundreds of households clean up and overcome the consequences of the floods...
Currently, Military Region 5 has deployed 15 field kitchens in the areas, ensuring the rescue forces and evacuated people are concentrated; more than 27,000 meals have been provided to the people. The military medical force has examined and provided medicine to more than 300 households. After many hours of mobilization, by 9:00 p.m. the same day, the military medical, chemical, preventive medicine, and engineering forces of Military Region 5 arrived in Dak Lak . After stabilization, the forces will conduct disinfection, sanitization, epidemic prevention, medical examination and treatment for people and support the locality to overcome and clear the roads.
In the coming days, the Military Region 5 Command will continue to monitor and direct forces deployed in various directions to support local Party committees, authorities, and people in the area to clean and disinfect offices, schools, medical centers, clinics, and traffic routes; clean and repair houses for people; strictly maintain rescue teams at all levels, maintain effective operation of the 112 switchboard; grasp the developments of rain and landslides in the area, promptly report, advise, and propose solutions, and avoid being passive or surprised. Deploy cooking and distribution of meals, dry rations, food, and necessities to serve people in isolated areas.
