Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee encouraged people and businesses affected by floods in Dam Rong 4 commune

On the afternoon of November 23, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi visited and encouraged households and businesses affected by floods in Dam Rong 4 commune.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi presented gifts to the representative of the sturgeon farm of Royal Fish Dalat Company Limited.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi visited and encouraged the sturgeon farming facility of Royal Fish Dalat Co., Ltd. in Da Nhinh village, Dam Rong 4 commune. During the recent flood, 50 sturgeon farming cages on the Krong No Hydropower Reservoir of the Company were swept away by the flood. The estimated damage is about 11 billion VND.

Here, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi listened to the enterprises' reports on their operations and the damage caused by floods; at the same time, deeply sympathized with the difficulties of the enterprises. He hoped that the enterprises would make efforts to overcome difficulties, proactively adapt, and soon return to production and business activities.

“The provincial leaders are very understanding of the difficulties that businesses have to go through due to flood damage. The local government will count the damage of businesses and local people, and from there, soon have policies to support businesses and people,” said Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Van Muoi.

Floods have caused damage in Dam Rong 4 commune of about 50.5 billion VND.

On the same day, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi presented gifts to households in Da Nhinh 1 village, Dam Rong 4 commune.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Dam Rong 4 commune, the recent flood caused landslides on 6 traffic routes in the area. More than 30 hectares of crops of 115 households were flooded, 27 cows were swept away.

In particular, about 50 sturgeon cages of the enterprise were swept away. The total damage in the commune is estimated at about 50.5 billion VND.

The commune authorities regularly monitor the situation of heavy rain, flooding, landslides, and deploy zoning; at the same time, put up signs in dangerous areas to warn people and passing vehicles.

For traffic routes affected by landslides and floods, the Commune People's Committee coordinates with investors and relevant units to fence, put up warning signs, and direct the clearing of rocks and soil that have spilled over the road to ensure traffic in the area.

Local authorities are directing units to synthesize the damage caused by natural disasters to propose funding arrangements to support recovery.
