Gia Nghia - Da Lat connecting road is expected to be completed on February 14, 2026.

According to the investor's commitment, within 90 days, the Gia Nghia - Da Lat connecting road will be completed, contributing to shortening the distance and travel time between the two areas of Lam Dong province.

The project officially started on November 17th.

On November 24, the leaders of the Project Management Board for Construction Maintenance and Dak Nong Construction Consultants said that they had officially started repairing the road connecting National Highway 28 with Provincial Road 725, in Phuc Tho Lam Ha commune (also known as the Gia Nghia - Da Lat connecting road).

The project has a total length of nearly 5km, with a road surface width of 6m. Of which, from Km0+00 to Km2+548.39, all items (base, road surface, drainage system, etc.) will be upgraded and renovated synchronously; the remaining section will be kept according to the previous road surface structure and only the intersection with Provincial Road 725 will be repaired and expanded.

According to the investor, it is expected to be completed on February 14, 2026.

Previously, at the meeting to deploy tasks and solutions to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital, which took place on the evening of October 7, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi requested the Department of Finance to promptly arrange capital; departments and branches to closely coordinate and speed up the construction progress to soon put the road into use.

The head of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that repairing the road will help save time and travel costs, creating convenience for people to travel and transport goods.

In particular, when the route is completed, it will be a source of encouragement for officials from the western region of Lam Dong to go to the province's administrative center to work.

According to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee, the project to repair the shortcut connecting National Highway 28 with Provincial Road 725 has a total length of nearly 5km. The route is designed according to the standards of rural roads of class B, with a cement concrete road surface of 3.5m wide and a total width of 6m.

The total investment of the project is 12 billion VND from the State budget, of which construction costs account for more than 10.5 billion VND. The project implementation period is expected from 2025 to 2026.

Currently, the distance from Da Lat - Gia Nghia is about 180km. The shortest and most convenient route is from Gia Nghia in the direction of National Highway 28 and then through Provincial Road 725. Travel time along this route is about 3.5 - 4 hours.

After being repaired, this shortcut will shorten the distance by about 20km, equivalent to about 30 minutes of travel from Da Lat to Gia Nghia.
