Da Nang urgently invests 3 billion VND to build Ba Ngan temporary bridge

DNO - The Department of Construction of Da Nang City has just issued an emergency construction order for the project "Repair and restoration of Duy Phuoc Bridge approach road (Ba Ngan Bridge), Hoi An Ward" damaged by the impact of storm No. 12 and heavy rains since October 26, 2025.

Specifically, a temporary bridge will be built to extend the existing bridge from the eastern abutment to replace the eroded approach road. The project is expected to consist of 3 I-beam steel spans.

Scale includes: bridge girder made of I500 steel, bridge deck system made of steel and steel plate; pile foundation system made of H300 steel. Bridge width: 3.5m = 3.0m (bridge deck) + 2 x 0.25m (railing and barrier). Total length of additional spans: L = 30m = 2x12m + 1x6m; reinforce existing approach road with stone gabions or steel sheet piles.

Traffic load for motorbikes and cars (2.5 tons). Project cost is about 3 billion VND, completion date is before December 31, 2025.

The project aims to promptly handle and repair the approach road to Duy Phuoc Bridge (Ba Ngan Bridge), quickly resolve traffic disruptions, overcome the consequences of storms and floods; soon connect traffic in Nam Phuoc Commune and Hoi An Ward to serve the travel needs of the people.
