Speaking at the opening of the training course, comrade Tran Van Cong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized: In recent years, the province's information and propaganda work and foreign information have been regularly directed; gradually affirming its role in maintaining political stability, socio-economic development, promoting the image of Lai Chau and strengthening friendly relations with other provinces. Many important documents issued by the Provincial People's Committee have created a legal corridor and a synchronous coordination mechanism, helping agencies and units to more conveniently carry out their tasks.

In order for the training course to achieve high results, Mr. Tran Van Cong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, requested that the trainees focus, proactively exchange and share experiences with lecturers and reporters so that the training content can achieve practical results, contributing to improving the quality of information and propaganda work and foreign information of the province in the coming time.

At the training course, more than 50 trainees who are officials working in management, officials working in foreign information at the provincial and commune levels with borders; reporters and editors of local press agencies; officials in charge of portals, electronic information pages, foreign information of departments, branches, sectors, People's Committees of communes with borders; officials in charge of commune radio stations at the Center for Culture, Sports and Communication; officials in charge of border commune radio stations were imparted the following contents: Basic knowledge about border areas on land; protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation; foreign information activities in border areas on land; guidance on skills and techniques in implementing information and propaganda work, foreign information for forces participating in foreign information activities; interview answering skills and handling information crises; skills in applying digital technology in organizing propaganda and communication activities; skills in applying digital technology in organizing propaganda and communication activities.

The training course aims to equip students with more knowledge, update skills, and methods of deploying propaganda and foreign information in accordance with the new situation; at the same time, help students gain more practical experience to advise and organize work more effectively in localities and units.

Immediately after the opening of the training course, the trainees listened to the topic Basic knowledge about land border areas presented by Colonel Le Cong Thanh - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

According to the Plan, the training course is expected to end on November 26.
