At the program, delegates, youth of Ho Chi Minh City and Lao students reviewed the tradition of solidarity, friendship and affection between the two brotherly countries Vietnam and Laos, which were nurtured during the years of resistance against foreign invaders. Thanks to the solidarity and close bond between the army and people of the two countries, they together won resounding victories against colonial and imperialist countries, regaining independence and freedom for the two peoples.

At the exchange program, delegates enjoyed special performances between Lao students and the youth of Xuan Hoa ward. Within the framework of the program, the "Vietnam - Laos Friendship" running race took place enthusiastically with more than 400 athletes who were Lao students, officials, union members, association members, and people of Xuan Hoa ward participating.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented gifts to outstanding Laotian students; launched a fundraising campaign to support people in flood-affected areas. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City signed a contract with May May Trading and Service Company Limited to implement the program "Price stabilization booth" for members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Xuan Hoa Ward and people, and carry out social security activities in the ward.
