Hue hands over more than 740 hectares of forest to Da Nang

(PLVN) - The Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) of Hue City and the Department of Agriculture and Environment (DARD) of Da Nang City have just organized procedures for handing over and receiving documents, maps, and forest resource sites between Hue City and Da Nang City according to Resolution 144/NQ-CP dated September 18, 2024 of the Government on determining the administrative boundaries between Thua Thien Hue Province (now Hue City) and Da Nang City left by history.

Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hue City has handed over to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Da Nang City a list of documents and maps of the handed-over area related to forest resources, current forest status, and a set of documents and maps of the area related to forest resources.

Including the current status of the total forest area attached to the transferred land is 734.06 ha; the total transferred forest area is 746.31 ha; the current status of the transferred planted forest is 406.96 ha. Attached is the field inspection record of the planted forest area in the area adjusted according to Resolution 144/NQ-CP.

The system of records and data handed over by Hue will be integrated by Da Nang into the current forest status map of Hai Van ward and the forest management system of the entire Da Nang city, ensuring consistency according to legal regulations.

Representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the two localities affirmed that they had checked, compared and fully agreed on the entire handover content; and at the same time, they will report to the People's Committees of the two cities.

The completion of the handover of documents and data this time is an important basis for the two localities to manage forest resources in the correct status, ensure forestry security, protect forests sustainably and unify administrative boundaries according to Resolution 144/NQ-CP of the Government .
