With the theme "Echoes of Heritage - Connecting the Future", the Southeast Asian Gong Festival is expected to take place from December 18, 2025 to January 2, 2026 at Lam Vien Square, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, Lam Dong Province.
In addition to 6 gong artist teams from Lam Dong province, the festival also has the participation of 3 gong artist teams from the Central Highlands region including Gia Lai, Dak Lak , Quang Ngai provinces; 2 gong artist teams from Phu Tho province. In particular, the festival also has the participation of 5 gong artist teams from countries in the Southeast Asian region including Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand.

The highlight of the festival is the “Southeast Asia Gong Harmony 2025” gala night, scheduled to take place on the evening of December 20. The gala night will connect the gong cultural space with contemporary music, creating a regional-scale performance, expected to set a record for: “The largest gong performance space, combining culture and art” and the record for “Musical work with the largest and most crowded gong performance”.
In addition, there are also programs and activities accompanying the festival including: Brocade fashion show; international seminars, cultural and tourism experience space; "Global Coffee Heritage 2025" Festival combined with fireworks to welcome the new year 2026.

Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, said: “The Southeast Asian Gong Festival 2025 is one of the key cultural and tourism activities of the province, taking place in a meaningful context when Lam Dong is aiming to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space” being recognized by UNESCO as a masterpiece of oral and intangible heritage of humanity; and the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 / November 23, 2025)”.
According to the Organizing Committee, the festival aims to honor and widely promote the value of the heritage of the Central Highlands gong cultural space, creating opportunities for international cultural exchange. This is also one of the activities demonstrating Da Lat's commitment to participating in the "UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music".
At the press conference, representatives of a number of businesses and individuals donated to support the people of the Central Highlands who suffered losses due to floods. TNI King Coffee Co., Ltd. donated 4 tons of rice, Lien Minh Da Lat Group Investment and Development Joint Stock Company donated 60 million VND, and musician Le Minh Son, general director of the program "Southeast Asia Gong Festival", donated 20 million VND.
