
Ha Long Heritage International Marathon is the first and only race in Vietnam to be awarded an international race label by World Athletics.
With a route ranked among the Top 50 most beautiful in the world and a unique heritage, the race continues to affirm its prestige and attraction in the international running community.

This year, there are more than 3,000 international athletes from over 60 countries participating, an increase of 131% compared to 2024. Athletes compete in 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. Favorable weather conditions, beautiful routes and professional organization have helped the rate of athletes completing the distance very high.
2025 marks the 10-year development milestone of the Ha Long Heritage International Marathon – the journey to bring a race in Vietnam to international level, becoming a major sports and tourism event of the whole country.

The award was also selected as one of the typical activities of Quang Ninh in 2025, contributing to promoting the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay, stimulating tourism and spreading the image of the destination.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh said: “Quang Ninh is committed to creating all favorable conditions for the Ha Long International Marathon to take place safely, civilly, and rich in experience. Each athlete will become an 'ambassador', contributing to spreading the beautiful image of Ha Long - Quang Ninh to domestic and international friends.”
Final results, at a distance of 42.195km: First prize for women belongs to athlete Caroline Jepkemei Kimosop (02:43:26); First prize for men belongs to athlete Kennedy Kiprop Chelimo (02:13:57).
The first Vietnamese to finish the 42.195km distance belonged to male athlete Huynh Anh Khoi (2:23:32), and female athlete Pham Thi Hong Le (2:48:06.)
21km distance: First prize for women belongs to athlete Doan Thi Oanh (01:19:53); First prize for men belongs to athlete Edwin Yebei Kiptoo (01:11:23)
10km distance: First prize for women belongs to athlete Le Thi Thanh Quynh (0:40:48); First prize for men belongs to athlete Nguyen Van Khang (0:34:13)
5km distance: First prize for women belongs to athlete Truong Manh Trang (0:19:24); First prize for men belongs to athlete Vu Minh Thang (0:16:27).
