The activity was organized by the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities of the Temple of Literature in collaboration with the Hanoi Watercolor Artists Club and Vast Clouds, to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day.

After 6 months of launching, the contest attracted nearly 269 works from students of art and design schools and many young artists aged 18-30 across the country. The diverse works in oil, silk, wood carvings... and watercolors expressed a youthful perspective on the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, a place that preserves the source of knowledge and the tradition of learning of the nation.

Familiar images such as the Temple of Literature gate, Khue Van Cac, the Doctor's Stele House along with typical motifs of dragon, unicorn, turtle, and phoenix were vividly recreated, showing the harmonious combination of traditional materials and the creative thinking of the young generation. The jury of 11 prestigious experts in the fields of culture, fine arts, architecture, and sculpture selected 80 works for the final round and 18 best works were awarded, including: 3 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 10 consolation prizes, and 2 prizes from sponsors.

Dr. Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the second contest continues to create a healthy "playground", arousing the love of heritage among young people. "We hope that from these works, the value of Quoc Tu Giam, the first university of the country, will be widely spread. The success of the contest is a premise for us to organize a larger-scale and higher-quality playground in 2026, on the occasion of the 950th anniversary of the founding of Quoc Tu Giam."

The exhibition of the final works will be on display from November 23 to December 7 at the monument.
