This is the last of four festivals held in many provinces and cities in Vietnam this year, to celebrate 30 years of bilateral relations between the United States and Vietnam. Previously, festivals were held in Da Nang, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.

The free admission event attracted a large number of people of all ages to participate in fun activities, typical of American and Vietnamese culture such as American sports, handicrafts instruction, English spelling contest, dance instruction, music performances... In particular, the program has performances by famous artists such as Suboi, Lyhan and MaiQuinn of the group "Em Xinh Say Hi". In addition, the festival also introduced traditional American and Vietnamese dishes.

With its rich activities, the US-Vietnam Friendship Festival is considered a unique event, highlighting the depth and breadth of cooperation between the United States and Vietnam, and reflecting the two countries' shared desire to promote mutual understanding through cultural exchange.
According to U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper: “This festival is an opportunity to celebrate the strength of the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and three decades of growth in our bilateral relationship. We are pleased to host this special event in beautiful Cau Giay Park, across from our new U.S. Embassy complex.”
