Rach Gia Ward started construction of Group 12 bridge

On November 27, the Union of Friendship Organizations of An Giang province coordinated with the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province, the Vietnam - Australia Friendship Association, and the Vietnam - Switzerland Friendship Association to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Group 12 bridge, in Vinh Vien quarter, Rach Gia ward.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the bridge construction.

This is a project to welcome the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province, term 2025 - 2030.

The bridge is built with reinforced concrete structure, 30m long, 3.5m wide, load capacity 5 tons. The total construction cost is 360 million VND, of which, the Union of Friendship Organizations of An Giang province coordinated with the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of the province, the Vietnam - Australia Friendship Association, the Vietnam - Switzerland Friendship Association mobilized the Australian Vietnamese Volunteer Group to sponsor 252 million VND, the rest was mobilized by local contributions. The volunteer bridge building team of Hon Dat Association for Supporting Poor Patients constructed the construction.

From April 2024 to present, the Australian Vietnamese Volunteer Group has sponsored more than 2.2 billion VND to build 6 bridges in An Giang province.

Give gifts to people in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the Volunteer Bridge Building Team of Hon Dat Poor Patient Support Association presented 20 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Vinh Vien neighborhood, Rach Gia ward.
