Urgently report housing damage caused by floods before 5:00 p.m. on November 27.

On November 27, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch No. 232/CD-TTg on urgently collecting statistics, reviewing, and synthesizing reports on damage to people's housing caused by floods in the South Central region.

Telegrams sent to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the provinces: Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Lam Dong and the Ministers of the Ministries: Finance, Agriculture and Environment, National Defense, Public Security, Education and Training, and Health.

According to the content of the Telegram, recently in the South Central region, there has been a historic flood, causing very heavy damage to people and property, greatly affecting people's lives and infrastructure, especially in the provinces of Dak Lak , Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong.

After the flood, thousands of houses were severely damaged, hundreds of households lost their homes due to collapse, toppling, and drifting, requiring large resources to repair.

To quickly stabilize housing for people before the Lunar New Year 2026, the Prime Minister requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong provinces to direct functional agencies and local authorities to urgently review, compile statistics and report specifically on 3 main contents, including:

Number of households whose houses have collapsed, fallen, or drifted away and need to be rebuilt; Number of households whose houses are severely damaged and need to be repaired; Total funding needed to support people in repairing and rebuilding their houses (including clearly reporting the funding needs to support people in repairing and rebuilding; the amount of funding that localities can balance and mobilize; the amount of funding requested for central support).

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai and Lam Dong provinces to urgently send reports to the Government Office; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Agriculture and Environment before 5:00 p.m. on November 27, 2025 for synthesis and reporting to the Prime Minister.

In addition, the Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Finance to proactively propose the use of central budget sources; propose assigning provinces and cities that have budgets regulated to the central government to support the above provinces with more resources to support people whose houses were damaged.

The Minister of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security directed local military and police forces to support people in repairing and rebuilding houses at the request of localities.

It is known that in Dak Lak province, by the end of November 26, 2025, the whole province had 133 houses collapsed and completely damaged. Currently, the province has also supported households whose houses have not been completely damaged but have had their roofs blown off by 50% or more with 5 million VND/case; households whose houses have had their roofs completely blown off with 10 million VND/case; households whose houses have been completely collapsed, collapsed, or washed away with 60 million VND/case.
