Phu Tho tourism is being developed systematically, the resonance from the three localities after the merger and the drastic investment in digital transformation, infrastructure, service products, application of smart tourism mobile applications such as digital maps, booking, online services, itinerary suggestions..., multilingual audio guide system at Hung Temple and relic sites, public wifi coverage, digital information system at destinations; promoting digital marketing on TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, combining with international travel bloggers... brings the image of a beautiful Phu Tho, rich in tradition, culture, friendly and hospitable people, touching the hearts of many friends at home and abroad.
According to a report by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho, in the first 9 months of 2025, the whole province had 3.65 million visitors staying, including 95,000 international visitors, with revenue of nearly 12,000 billion VND.
However, despite its great potential, Phu Tho tourism industry still faces many challenges such as unsynchronized infrastructure in mountainous areas and particularly difficult areas, lack of professional human resources, and weak brand...
Currently, large corporations are investing heavily in Phu Tho, such as the Sun Group project at Thung Hill (Muong Vang commune) with a scale of 2,000 hectares, a high-end European-style resort and entertainment complex, the Serena Resort project, high-end lakeside and mountain resorts. This is the driving force for Phu Tho to form a high-end product system, targeting international visitors with long-term stays.
Along with that, intangible cultural values continue to be concerned by the Phu Tho provincial government to preserve and promote their values. In the 2026-2030 period, Phu Tho province will focus on developing a tourism, cultural and spiritual axis according to the legend of "The Four Immortals," along with the green corridors of Tam Dao - Hung Temple, Kim Boi, Mai Chau, connecting ancestral tourism with ecology and resorts./.
