Reporting at the conference, Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information Le Quang Tu Do said that digital communication work in November recorded many positive changes, especially in spreading information about the flood situation in the central region and the Central Highlands.
More than 25,000 news and articles were published by major channels, promptly reflecting the developments of natural disasters, rescue activities and many beautiful images in the community, attracting a large number of viewers and contributing to effective support for rescue and relief work.
Along with information about natural disasters, digital content pages and channels also actively share important political and social events such as the Central Conference, National Assembly sessions, Patriotic Emulation Congresses, etc. from official press sources, ensuring accuracy and objectivity.
Faced with malicious and distorted information, the management agency has promptly provided direction and coordinated with major channels to prevent the spread of false content, contributing to enhancing information security in the online environment.
At the conference, leaders of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and representatives of localities shared communication orientations in each field, emphasizing the need to improve content quality, closely follow political tasks, and develop the culture, sports and tourism sector. Representatives of digital content sites and channels also exchanged and made recommendations to increase coordination efficiency in the coming time.
Concluding the conference, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and companionship of digital content pages and channels in the past time; at the same time, he proposed to continue to closely coordinate with the Ministry according to three principles when reporting on floods: ensuring accuracy, not causing panic; detecting and sharing difficult cases in need of support; spreading the spirit of "mutual love" in the community.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that in the context of strong digital media development, the cooperation of major channels will continue to create a strong spread of positive information, contributing to building a safe and humane network environment and promoting the development of the fields of culture, sports and tourism.
