During the day of experience, students participate in a variety of activities that comprehensively reflect the learning life of specialized school students. From visiting facilities, learning about subject classrooms and laboratories, to directly participating in experiential classes of some specialized subjects, where scientific thinking, discussion and personal capacity development are encouraged to the maximum. In addition, middle school students also immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the "Club Festival", experience workshops organized by specialized clubs, and experience creative models implemented by the school's own students.
Duong Tran Quang Duy, a 12th grade student majoring in Physics, shared: “At the science and technology workshop, we introduced to the junior high school students the operating principles of the products and let them experience them directly. Many students were very interested. My school currently has many active clubs, each club has about 30-50 members. I am participating in 4 clubs: Volleyball, Science and Technology, Physics and Robotics”.

Nguyen Ngoc Bao Chau, class 9/10, Tran Phu Secondary School, said: “I want to take the entrance exam for the Math major, so I registered to participate in the program. After a day of experience, I am even more impressed because the teachers and seniors are very friendly. Before, I was a bit shy, but in this environment, I will definitely boldly participate in extracurricular activities and clubs like the seniors. Because in my opinion, besides studying, there must be recreational activities to stimulate the spirit and make learning more effective. I like the OLAS (Olympia) club the most.”
In each area, volunteers who are students of Tran Van Giau High School enthusiastically support, guide, introduce and share learning and exam experiences. The friendliness and openness of the seniors have made the junior high school students feel close, confident and love this learning environment more.

Phung Trinh Quang Duy, class 8/4, Nhat Tao Secondary School, said: "I want to have more motivation to take the entrance exam for the Math major. This morning I participated in all the activities, saw that the school is modern, the teachers and students are very friendly and enthusiastic."
A group of 14 students from Tan Thanh Secondary School (Tan Thanh Commune) organized a car rental to participate in the program with the support of their parents. Huynh Nguyen Truc Vy, class 8/5, shared: “I really like Math. After the experience, I focused more on studying to be able to pass the school entrance exam. The teachers were friendly, and the Principal even came to talk to us and answered our questions.”

According to Mr. Dam Van Tuyen, Principal of Tran Van Giau High School for the Gifted, the goal of the program is to create opportunities for students and parents to experience the actual learning environment: from facilities, living space, specialized classes to the club system and extracurricular activities. This is also an opportunity for the school to listen to the thoughts and wishes of parents and students in order to adjust and improve the quality of training.
Teacher Tuyen recounted a special case: “A parent who is a worker has a child in grade 8 but is very good, able to take the same exams as grade 9 students. However, she thought that specialized schools were expensive so she did not dare to hope for her child to attend. Because her child earnestly asked to go for an experience, she brought her child here today. After visiting, she was completely reassured because the school was not like what she had thought.”
Immediately after the program, students were invited to join Zalo groups of each subject to discuss study methods, exam preparation materials and have their questions answered by teachers during the preparation process for the entrance exam to specialized schools.

According to the school’s records, most of the 1,400 students who attended expressed their desire to take the entrance exam to the school, including many who had never planned to before. This shows the strong spread of the high-quality education model that Tran Van Giau High School for the Gifted is building.
Currently, Tran Van Giau High School for the Gifted has 800 boarding places for students living far away, creating favorable conditions for them to study focused and develop comprehensively. Over the years, Tran Van Giau High School for the Gifted has always been a bright spot with breakthrough steps, contributing to improving the quality of key education, preparing high-quality human resources for Long An (old) and Tay Ninh provinces in the new period. With modern management thinking, development strategies suitable for the integration period and many innovations in the educational environment, the school is becoming the top choice for gifted students in the province.
