
Accordingly, in order to promptly support organizations and individuals affected by floods, the Ministry of Finance requested the Vietnam Insurance Association and insurance companies to immediately send appraisers to the scene, work directly with insurance buyers to collect and complete compensation settlement documents and pay insurance benefits.
When determining that the damage is within the scope of insurance liability, businesses must make compensation quickly, promptly, and fully according to regulations. In the immediate future, businesses need to urgently make advance compensation to customers according to the agreement in the signed insurance contract, in order to support people to overcome difficulties soon.
In addition, the Ministry requested the Vietnam Insurance Association to coordinate with insurance companies to implement humanitarian compensation according to internal regulations and legal provisions, contributing to reducing damage and stabilizing people's lives.
Insurance companies continue to update and report on damage situations; results of insurance benefits settlement and humanitarian support related to storm No. 5, storm No. 10, storm No. 11, storm No. 13 and rains, floods in the Central region, and send them to the Ministry of Finance (Department of Insurance Management and Supervision) no later than November 26.
