Specifically, credit institutions must immediately review and assess the situation and extent of damage caused by natural disasters to borrowers, and on that basis estimate the outstanding balance of risky loans (problem debts and bad debts expected to arise in the near future) to take appropriate measures to handle and resolve difficulties.
In addition, credit institutions proactively coordinate with customers to implement measures to support and resolve difficulties for customers according to their authority, such as: considering exemption or reduction of interest rates for damaged loans; exemption or reduction of service fees; restructuring debt repayment terms (adjusting repayment terms, extending debt) for customers; maintaining the debt group and considering new loans for customers facing difficulties due to objective and force majeure reasons.

For matters beyond their authority, units (except for people's credit funds) proactively propose to the Chairman of the Board of Directors/Board of Members and General Director solutions to support people and businesses suffering losses.
State Bank Branch Region 11 also requested banks and bank branches to mobilize officers, employees and workers to share the loss and difficulties of the people, actively support people and localities to overcome the consequences caused by natural disasters.
