From October 25 to November 2, in Quang Ngai province, there was continuous heavy rain causing landslides; rocks, soil, and mud flowed onto the road surface, burying and damaging longitudinal drainage ditches, traffic safety signaling systems... causing traffic jams and affecting road infrastructure.
According to preliminary statistics, on the roads managed by the Department of Construction of Quang Ngai province, there are more than 250 landslide locations; about 170,000 m³ of soil and rock buried, damaging drainage ditches along the roads such as: National Highways 14C, 24, 24B, 24C, 40B; provincial roads DT.621B, DT.622B, DT.622C, DT.623, DT.623B, DT.624, DT.626, DT.627C, DT.628, DT.673, DT.676; Ngoc Hoang - Mang But - Tu Mo Rong - Ngoc Linh roads.

For Son Thuong - Son Tinh road, the dirt roadbed has eroded from 0.5-1m over the entire roadbed with a length of about 3.5km; there are 6 locations with positive slope landslides; 1 drainage culvert is damaged causing traffic jams. Currently, the route cannot be circulated, needs to be repaired and fixed to serve the travel and transportation of essential goods to about 4,000 people in Son Tay Ha commune who are isolated.
In addition, the DH.83 route connecting the center of Son Tay Ha commune with the DT.623 route has had many serious landslides. Currently, both of the above routes are impassable.

The inter-village road from Lang Moi village to Tu Rang village (Ngoc Linh commune) was completely broken (about 50m long, 10m deep), isolating 5 inner villages.

Currently, the local government of Ngoc Linh commune, along with the military and people of the 5 isolated villages, are temporarily fixing the problem by opening a temporary road and a temporary iron bridge right below the fault point for people to travel, but in the long term, it cannot ensure the travel of the people of the 5 villages. This situation affects the socio -economic development of the locality, making it difficult for people to travel, so repairing the road is urgent.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Construction, the Provincial Police, the People's Committees of communes and related units to immediately deploy remedial measures; closely monitor weather developments; organize the evacuation of people from areas at risk of landslides and isolation; ensure adequate food and necessities at evacuation sites according to the "4 on-site" motto. At the same time, increase information so that people can proactively take precautions; put up warning signs, delineate dangerous areas and arrange forces to guard and guide people and vehicles when passing through landslide sites and damaged structures.
Mobilize forces, materials and means to overcome landslides, ensure smooth traffic; regularly update the situation and report to the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Civil Defense Command.
