Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh sent warm congratulations to the Lao Party, State and people on the great and comprehensive achievements gained over the past 50 years, especially in maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense and security, developing the economy and society and improving people's lives.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that Vietnam believes that the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos, founded by President Ho Chi Minh, President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, will increasingly develop deeply and substantially, making important contributions to the prosperous development of both nations.
2025 is a significant milestone for the two countries as they celebrate the 50th anniversary of Laos' National Day, the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and prepare to hold the National Congress of each Party. The Vice President of the National Assembly affirmed that the two Parties, two States and peoples need to continue to unite, cooperate closely, promote the tradition of mutual assistance, and together advance the revolutionary cause of the two nations, for peace, stability and development in the region and the world.

In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to Vietnam Khamphau Ernthavanh emphasized Laos' outstanding achievements after nearly 40 years of renovation, from political stability, improved social security to sustainable economic growth.
The Ambassador affirmed that the Laos-Vietnam relationship continues to develop strongly, with comprehensive cooperation in all fields, especially politics, defense, security, economy, education, culture and people-to-people exchange.
On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his deep gratitude for Vietnam's valuable support for Laos over the years; committed to continue actively contributing to preserving and fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.
