The wall of Dong Khoi Secondary School collapsed after the flood.
On November 25, Phu Huu school, part of Hoa Thinh Primary School, Dak Lak province (formerly Tay Hoa district, Phu Yen ), although it was cleaned, still could not feel the atmosphere of teaching and learning.
The damage to learning equipment was huge, the school library was destroyed, books were damaged and mixed in the mud, unusable. Not only that, many tables, chairs, cabinets… were damaged and had to be thrown away because they could not be repaired or used.
In a small hall, many trucks of benefactors carry clothes for villagers to choose and take home.
At Dong Khoi Secondary School, Hoa Thinh commune, a scene that made everyone heartbroken, a long section of the fence collapsed.
In the room, many files, documents, report cards, and diplomas of students were soaked and covered with mud. The school had to spread them out on the table and turn on the fan to dry them. Many computers were also damaged after the flood.
At the school, the mobile police force is helping to clean up the mud. Mr. Tran Van Sau, the school principal, was moved: "Thank you to the mobile police soldiers for their support. For the past few days, 42 teachers in the school have been cleaning up but to no avail. Now, thanks to the soldiers, the school has basically cleaned up. Tomorrow, we will welcome students to come and give them books and pens. The students now do not have any books left after the flood."

The book warehouse of Phu Huu school is covered with mud.
When asked what the school needed, Mr. Sau said that many of the school's electronic devices were damaged, and what was most needed right now was teaching equipment, such as computers, printers, boards, etc., most of which were broken.
Teacher Sau said that before the flood, the school had proactively placed many items on high places, but they did not expect the flood to be so strong. The destructive force not only destroyed the fence but also knocked down the shelves used to store items.
"Currently, not only the school but I think all of us are most worried about the students. They need support with white shirts and pants to go to school. Most of them no longer have uniforms," said Mr. Sau.
According to Mr. Le Chi Hoai, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Thinh Commune, schools have compiled statistics on students' book needs and the provincial Department of Education and Training will provide them urgently. As for damaged teaching materials, it will take time to process them, so support is needed at this time."
However, the locality hopes that if there is help from philanthropists, they should contact in advance so that the locality can ask which school needs what to support accurately, avoiding the situation of having too much of this item but lacking that tool.
