All contribute to a flow of love that spreads endlessly - from the South to the Central region.

Early in the morning of November 25, Tuoi Tre welcomed an elderly reader with silver hair. She arrived on an old bicycle. She asked not to reveal her name and address when we asked her to acknowledge her kindness. But when talking about the people of Central Vietnam and her feelings for her fellow countrymen, she shared a lot of her feelings.

She said her life was not rich, but when she heard that the Central region was heavily flooded and people there were lacking everything, she still packed 300,000 VND to send. "It's a small amount, but it's from my heart, I just hope it helps reduce the difficulties of the people there."

On the evening of November 24, when she read about a new storm forming at sea, her heart sank. She sighed and said she only wished she had more money to help more people in the Central region.

An old lady named Dao, although she has no pension and has to live on a small allowance, still collected 1 million VND to support.

"I also saved the snack money my children and grandchildren gave me. Seeing the people out there lose everything made my heart ache," she choked up. As soon as Mr. Dao left, the 77-year-old couple and their entire family joined hands to contribute more than 40 million VND. The old lady's eyes were red: "Seeing the people out there lose everything breaks my heart. This amount of money is nothing, I just hope they can get through it."

In the late afternoon, the Tuoi Tre newspaper office welcomed Mr. Loc and his wife, 63 years old, living in Thanh My Tay ward. "This flood is terrible, beyond imagination. Previously, the water only rose slightly and then passed quickly, but this time it rose continuously, washing away all the people's property. What was left was trash, people did not know what to use to continue living," said Mr. Loc.

He donated 3 million VND to help people buy necessities. Mr. Loc's sister living abroad also sent 4 million VND to support the people, hoping the flood will soon pass so that people can return to normal life.

After school, teacher Tran Tuan Anh, a civics teacher at Colette Secondary School, stopped by Tuoi Tre newspaper to donate 10 million VND to support people in the Central region. This was the second time in just one month that teacher Anh came to Tuoi Tre newspaper to send his love to the Central region. "This year, seeing our people suffering so much, I feel so sorry," he said with tears in his eyes and wiping away his tears.

He shared that when reading Tuoi Tre newspaper, he saw that the support from readers was divided reasonably, and that people received exactly what they needed. He also encouraged students and parents to contribute and sincerely share the losses of people in the Central region after the storm and flood.

~21 billion VND

862 contributions

That is the amount of money readers donated to support people in Central Vietnam through Tuoi Tre newspaper until 3:00 p.m. on November 25.

Each gift included 1 million VND along with a jacket from Tuoi Tre newspaper to the people in the flood center.

From far away Ho Chi Minh City, Vo Thanh Nghi's group collected clothes, necessities, and money to help people in the flood-hit areas who are facing many difficulties.

Wishing to share some of the difficulties with people in flooded areas, his group sent a little bit of their heart through Tuoi Tre newspaper. " Tuoi Tre newspaper is a place to place trust. All information is constantly updated by Tuoi Tre newspaper, so I trust and send it to people in flooded areas," Mr. Nghi confided.
