At the program, more than 14,000 organizations and individuals contributed 6.3 billion VND through the receiving account of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee - Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Over the past few days, many localities in the South Central region have had to endure floods that are considered the most severe in the past half century. Floodwaters rose suddenly, and many areas were completely isolated. Tens of thousands of people had to struggle to cope with floodwaters, in a state of power outages, lack of clean water, and the risk of flash floods and landslides every hour. Roofs were devastated, submerged in a vast sea of water, countless trees, crops, and gardens were devastated, and the red, bewildered eyes of countless families who lost loved ones to death or disappearance... Historic floods have submerged countless livelihoods, along with countless dreams and aspirations of the people.

Faced with the difficulties that the local people have just experienced, the TV bridge "Overcoming the flood" is a bridge to send the hearts of the people of the whole country to the people in the flood areas, with the desire to share with the people the great losses at the present time and call on all the people of the whole country - with a loving heart and the love of compatriots to unite, share and accompany the people to overcome the difficulties. A contribution, a word of encouragement, a heart, a soul at this time are all extremely valuable.

Throughout the program were touching stories of people from Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces - places where the flood just passed.

Faced with the difficulties and losses of people in flood-affected areas, at the program, Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front affirmed: More than ever, people in flood-affected areas are in dire need of support and attention from the people of the whole country.

On behalf of the Central Relief Mobilization Committee, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President Ha Thi Nga respectfully thanked the people of the whole country, the business community, international friends, and overseas Vietnamese in the past time, especially in the past 2 months, through the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, more than 1.1 million people and more than 60,000 organizations participated in support activities to provide more resources for people in flood-affected areas to overcome difficulties.

This support is very meaningful, not only in terms of financial support, timely material conditions, but also in sharing very warm feelings. The tradition of the Vietnamese people is the spirit of "Mutual love" and more than ever, people in flood areas need that. In the past 2 months, the Fatherland Front system at all levels has received cash support of over 3,200 billion VND. This is a very meaningful resource to support and help people in flood areas to rebuild their lives soon, together with state resources.

The current difficulties will pass, but for people to continue to recover and rebuild their lives, the cooperation of the whole society is needed. The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front earnestly calls on and hopes that the people of the whole country, the business community, overseas Vietnamese as well as international friends will continue to give their affection and support, both spiritually and materially, so that people in flood-affected areas, functional forces as well as local authorities will have more conditions, resources, as well as more motivation to overcome difficulties and challenges - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Ha Thi Nga expressed.
