Lam Dong allocates 1,000 tons of rice to support people affected by floods

According to the decision, the Provincial People's Committee will allocate 1,000 tons of rice to support 41 communes and wards affected by floods. Some localities receiving large amounts of rice due to heavy damage include: Quang Lap commune 60 tons, D'ran 50 tons, Ham Thuan 50 tons and Ham Thang ward 40 tons...

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with the State Reserve Sub-Department of Region XIII and localities to agree on the time and place for receiving and delivering national reserve rice to support localities in accordance with the actual situation. At the same time, guide localities to receive and distribute it promptly and in accordance with regulations.

Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requests the State Reserve Sub-Department of Region XIII to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to unify the time and place of rice delivery in accordance with the actual situation of the localities; be responsible for organizing transportation and delivery by means of transport to localities receiving rice of Lam Dong province at the centers of communes and wards; ensure the correct type, sufficient quantity and quality of rice according to current regulations.

The People's Committees of communes and wards must receive rice promptly, on time, with the right type, quantity and quality; at the same time, manage and distribute it promptly, in accordance with the regime, to the right subjects, and ensure complete records and procedures according to regulations. The costs of loading and unloading at the commune and ward centers and the costs of transporting rice to villages, hamlets, hamlets and residential groups are paid from the local budget according to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 15 of Circular 60/2025/TT-BTC dated June 27, 2025 of the Ministry of Finance .

At the same time, localities must organize famine relief for people affected by natural disasters, ensuring timeliness, correct targets, correct quotas, publicity and transparency. Rice distribution must be completed immediately after receiving, and at the same time be closely inspected and monitored to avoid loss and negativity. People's Committees of communes and wards are responsible for the accuracy of the list and famine relief data.

The Provincial People's Committee also said that for localities that have not received support in this period or are still lacking compared to the needs, it is recommended to proactively use the local budget and other legally mobilized sources to promptly relieve hunger for the people. In case the resources are not enough, the People's Committee of the commune or ward must send a document to the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Department of Finance to synthesize and submit to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision.
